Optical Parameters of LED Products The important optical parameters of LED are luminous intensity, luminous flux, luminous efficiency, luminous intensity distribution, wavelength and color coordinate.
(1) Luminous intensity the luminous flux emitted by a point light source in a small solid angle in the viewing direction Divide by the solid angle element d0 (symbol: IV; Setting: CD).
(2) The luminous flux of the light source with luminous intensity IV in the solid angle DQ is d. φ= IV ● DQ (symbol: φ v; Unit: 1m).
(3) Luminous efficiency is the ratio of luminous flux to electric power. Luminous efficiency characterizes the energy-saving characteristics of light source, which is an important index to measure the performance of modern light source( Symbol: η ; Unit: 1 m / W). The higher the value is, the better the efficiency of the light source is. Generally, the luminous efficiency of tungsten bulb is between 6 ~ 251m / W, and that of fluorescent lamp is between 45 ^ 951m / W. At present, the luminous efficiency of LED is more than 1001m / W.
(4) Radial distribution refers to the pointing characteristics of LED, which can display light intensity values (plane and spatial distribution of light intensity) at any angle.
(5) Wavelength is divided into main wavelength and peak wavelength. Peak wavelength refers to the wavelength corresponding to the maximum luminous intensity; The definition of dominant wavelength is: in general, after the chromaticity coordinates (x, y) of the object to be measured are obtained, they are marked on CIE1931 chromaticity coordinate diagram, and the chromaticity point of e light source (chromaticity coordinates x, y) = (0.333,0.333)) is connected with the point, and the connecting line is extended, which is connected with the spectral track. The wavelength value of horseshoe intersection is called the main wavelength of the object to be measured.
(6) The X, Y chromaticity coordinate usually refers to the horizontal and vertical coordinates in CIE1931 chromaticity coordinate system stipulated by International Commission on illumination. As shown in the figure below:
